Top 5 most beautiful beaches in South Finistère
How can you not associate Brittany with its beaches? People come here to relax, walk, enjoy water sports, try shore fishing… or simply admire stunning landscapes. Each beach has its own character — discover our selection of five of the most beautiful beaches in South Brittany.
Trévignon Beach (1h10 from the campsite)
If there were only one beach to choose in South Brittany, Trévignon would undoubtedly be it. Considered one of the most beautiful beaches in South Finistère — and even in all of Brittany — it takes on turquoise hues as soon as the sun appears.
Often compared to Caribbean beaches, it also boasts long stretches of white sand. A dreamlike setting that never loses its charm. Located in Trégunc, the beach is part of Pointe de Trévignon, a protected natural site.
Perfect for relaxing in the sun, it is also a favourite spot for kite surfers who take advantage of its wide open spaces when the wind rises.
The many rocks along the beach also make it an ideal place for shore fishing with children. Guaranteed moments of fun!

Kermyl Beach (55 minutes from the campsite)
In the heart of the seaside resort of Beg Meil, south of Quimper and La Forêt-Fouesnant, lies a small sheltered beach. Kermyl Beach, with its beautiful white sand, is appreciated for its calm atmosphere and preserved setting.
Due to its small size, it can be difficult to find a spot during peak summer. But once the high season ends, it becomes a peaceful and intimate haven again, with ever-changing shades of blue, from deep navy to turquoise.
Its rocky areas are also ideal for shore fishing. It’s no surprise that Kermyl regularly ranks among the most beautiful beaches in South Brittany.

Saint-Nicolas Beach (Glénan Islands)
Paradise-like. A jewel of Finistère. These are the words most often used by those who have set foot on Saint-Nicolas Beach in the Glénan Islands: fine golden sand, crystal-clear turquoise waters and full sunshine exposure.
Located on the Glénan archipelago, off the coast of Fouesnant, it is the largest beach among the five islands. The site is classified as a protected natural area, with no buildings to disrupt the view.
This beach is actually a tombolo — a strip of sand linking Saint-Nicolas Island to Bananec Island — allowing you to swim on both sides.
To reach this preserved paradise, you’ll need to board a boat with the Vedettes de l’Odet and leave the mainland behind. A complete change of scenery awaits.

Baie des Trépassés Beach (1h10 from the campsite)
Don’t be misled by its name. While its unique landscape has inspired many legends, Baie des Trépassés is above all an exceptional site.
Located between Pointe du Raz and Pointe du Van, this long sandy beach stretches between the two headlands. The water is clear, the waves are plentiful, and the sand is soft.
Swimmers enjoy the welcoming sea, divers explore its clear waters, and walkers and horse riders take advantage of the vast open space.
But above all, it is a famous surf spot. Facing the Atlantic, it often experiences strong winds that create powerful waves, ideal for surfing.
Don’t leave without watching the sunset — a truly unforgettable moment.

Pors Carn Beach (10 minutes from the campsite)
The last beach on our list is just a few minutes from Yelloh! Village La Plage — and naturally, it’s one of our favourites.
Pors Carn is a beautiful 2 km beach bordered by dunes, giving it a unique character. These dunes are also home to rich flora and fauna and are part of the Natura 2000 biodiversity conservation programme.
Located in Penmarc’h, near Saint-Guénolé and close to Pointe de la Torche, a famous surf spot, Pors Carn is more sheltered and offers gentler waves — making it ideal for families.
Children can swim safely, with lifeguards present all summer from 11 am to 6 pm. Picnic tables and playgrounds add to its family-friendly atmosphere.
Pors Carn appeals to everyone: surfers, paddle enthusiasts and windsurfers. It also features a “handiquatro” wheelchair, allowing people with reduced mobility to enjoy the beach.
Pors Carn Beach Saint-Guénolé 29 760 Penmarch Supervised beach all summer from 11 am to 6 pm. “Handiquatro” available at the lifeguard station. Dogs are not allowed on the beach all year round.
